After 11 years of fasting, the NFL returns to our country with the duel Texans against Raiders in what will be the first Monday Night played outside of the United States. Finally the day arrived!

The afternoon of this Sunday both Texanos and Malosos stepped on Aztec soil to feel the euphoria that this sport unleashed in the Mexican fanaticada.

These days in Mexico only eat, talk and breathe NFL. Hundreds of fans have gathered in the events of the League prior to the big game. In the streets you can already see jerseys, flags and New Era caps with the shields of both squads, although it must be said that most of these wear the black and silver of the Malosos.

And yes, the Raider Nation in our country is sooo big, however, the fans of the Texan team are not far behind. Proof of the above is the large number of fans who gathered this Sunday at the Angel of Independence. They, together with the Traveling Texans, the cheerleaders and Toro, the Houston mascot, lived together and showed their passion for their team at the foot of this historic monument.

At this meeting both squads arrive as leaders of their division. Raiders with a 7-2 record and with Derek Carr on fire will seek to win their fourth straight win at the expense of a Houston team that, despite not convincing and with the absence of its star JJ Watt, holds a 6-3 record.

Little more than 15 years had to pass so that the Raider Nation could see their team again in Mexican territory, as the last visit of the Malosos dates back to 2001. On that occasion the Bayans fell 21-6 against the Cowboys in the American Bowl.

Today everything looks different, because with the level shown by players like Derek Carr, Michael Crebtree and the relentless Khalil Mack, the Raiders come to this meeting as wide favorites to get a victory that would put them with one foot in Playoffs.
